Senior Adult Resources
The single, overriding purpose of Adult Discipleship Resources is to assist individual believers (entire classes and congregations) to develop into victorious, Spirit-filled disciples! Whether a brand new believer or a mature Christian, these book studies and manuals are welcome resources to grow your Christ-walk in deep and practical ways.
In addition to offering information on retirement planning and investments, the Church of God Benefits Board makes available, for no costs, tax filing information, compensation resources, and budgeting information for ministers and non-minister alike and for those who are already retired and for those who are contemplating retirement in the next few years. While the Benefits Board has ten (10) books that are available without costs on these topics, there are dozens of other resources that should be helpful as you enter the second half of your life. SpiritCare is a ministry of the Center for Ministerial Care. We seek to provide resources, encouragement, and financial help for retired ministers, spouses, and widows in the Church of God. We do this in a variety of ways. Our Pentecostal identity causes us to approach all that we do in a spirit of prayer; therefore, prayer is of vital importance. We also work with and rely on our SpiritCare Representatives in each state. They are important and serve as a connection to our retired ministers and widows locally. The importance of our SpiritCare reps cannot be overstated, they are the hands and feet of SpiritCare.
COGF exists to serve the church. We believe the Church of God is a generous church, comprised of believers who understand the truth of Acts 20:35 – that we should work hard, that we must help the weak, and that is more blessed to give than to receive. We want to help you succeed in these important things, so that together, we can achieve more for God’s Kingdom.
For over 40 years we have been providing both English and Spanish Sunday School and Discipleship resources for senior adults through the publication of quarterly adult Sunday School curriculum that is utilized by many seniors in the weekly discipleship and Sunday School class. We also produce a yearly English and Spanish Evangelical Commentary that many senior adults use to augment the weekly Sunday School lesson or as weekly self-study Bible lessons. In addition, many senior adults enjoy the music from the “Red Back” hymnal which is also produced by Pathway Press. To aid the seniors adults, all of these resources are available in a large print version.
